In the cheese cellar like in Gotthelf's time

Welcome to the last old cheese cellar in Emmental! In this cellar the cheese is still stored traditionally. You will see cheese wheels in wooden racks like at the time of Gotthelf's "Käserei in der Vehfreude". While you are visiting the storehouse, the aperitif is already being served. This consists mainly of a nice selection of cheese specialties; Züpfe is served with it. Wine, beer and sweet drinks are available for drinking.

Spicy stories and anecdotes

The event is rounded off with cheese stories, spiced with lots of wit and served by a connoisseur. Look forward to anecdotes about the music cheese, the Emmental and the topic of banks, while you enjoy it and let the special ambiance take effect on you.

Raclette or fondue fun

On the floor above the cheese cellar, after the guided tour with aperitif, it continues in a rustic and cozy way: with a fondue or raclette fun. Both the well-matured raclette cheese AOP and the fondue cheese mix leave nothing to be desired. The room and the entire program are wonderfully suitable for a birthday party, a company dinner and any other occasion where the beautiful moments of life are celebrated.

Wir durften als Gruppe einen tollen Apéro im Käsekeller von Käsekenner geniessen. Zu den jeweiligen Käse gab es immer noch eine Geschichte, die von ihm mit viel Witz erzählt wurde. Der erste Höhepunkt war, als wir einen Käselaib anschneiden durften. Der sogenannte "Hiphop-Käse" durfte anschliessend auch degustiert werden. Wie alle anderen Käsesorten, die mit frischem Zopf und Oliven/Trauben und Äpfeln probiert werden durften, war auch dieser "Hiphop-Käse" ein Genuss. Und als zweiter Höhepunkt konnten wir den Lagerraum besichtigen. Unser Fazit: Ein Besuch im Käsehaus ist absolut empfehlenswert.
