In the 430-year-old Capuchin monastery in Solothurn, your birthday party, summer party or your company's next Christmas dinner will be a very special experience.

Oasis in the city

Leave everyday life behind and celebrate your next party in the former Capuchin monastery, which is surrounded by enchanting greenery in the middle of the city of Solothurn. Today, the monastery regularly hosts public events. For your event, however, you are completely alone: depending on the size of your group, a suitable room will be reserved for you. Whether it's a cozy summer party in the countryside or a Christmas dinner in a homely atmosphere - the monastery offers the perfect setting. It is also possible to book rooms for a seminar or other event.

The food

A feast includes a delicious menu. This is prepared for you in the monastery - according to authentic recipes and with seasonal products. Many ingredients come directly from the monastery garden. The kitchen team also purchases and processes non-market-compliant food from producers in the region in order to reduce waste.

Example 1:

• Capuchin roast with smoky plum sauce, oven vegetables and mashed potatoes or courgette patties with cream cheese, served with ratatouille sauce (vegetarian)

Example 2:

• Gin fondue, prepared with homemade monastery gin

Aperitifs, starters and dessert options can be booked additionally if desired. Do you have a different menu in mind? You are welcome to submit your wishes in advance and let the kitchen team advise you.
